How it works Glycel is absorbed into the plant through its leaves and soft stalk tissue. It prevents the plant from producing essential proteins and stops it from growing, eventually leading to death. Where it's used Glycel is used in non-crop areas, bunds, water channels, and tea plantations. When to apply The best time to apply Glycel is when weeds are actively growing but before they reach maturity. Early morning or late afternoon applications are generally most effective.
